note: none of the people events media ect metioned on this site are or ever were real. this site is being used as a means to tell a story. when said story is fleshed out and the context behind this site's creation is more widely available i will probably remove this note for the sake of aesthetics but while it is still in this unfinished state i will make it clear that this is a work of fiction and a work in progress.
In 1997 I shared an apartment with JD, the guy who ran the original Arc Abyss forums. I never actually watched AA, so I was pretty sad to hear it's basically lost media now. I was working a night shift when it aired, so I cuoldn't catch any of the episodes. I'd originally thought the forums were lost too. I couldn't find them online anywhere, and I can't seem to contact JD anymore, so I assumed the code got corrupted like most of the other stuff on his computer around '99, or the site just kind of died when he stopped being around to maintain it.
Recently, however, I found out a lot of the old code, plus screenshots, conversation records, and notes, were backed up on a hard drive I must have taken with me when I moved out of the apartment.
I'm not super good with HTML (or any computer language really) and I definitely can't make the site fully functional again, so this is more of a snapshot of the site before it went down than anything else. I hope this can serve as a resource for anyone looking to research this show or relive their old memories in the community. Speaking of which, I made a lot of great friends through JD, and without the old forums I haven't been able to find any of them.
